Unexpected find. This hotel is fabulous. We had 2 baths in the huge beautiful bathroom. The bedroom was lovely with a very comfortable bed and very quiet. 5 minute walk into town. Good breakfast and a big thanks to Pauline who is a great host and keeps it beautifully clean. Wished we could stay another night!
The owner worked with us a lot on making sure we had the key to our room even after closing since we were coming from quite a few hours away! The double delight room was great we loved the claw tubs! We also thought the feel of the whole place was adorable as well!
The Palm Hotel is very clean,charming victorian style hotel.It was recommended by one of our family friend.Our room 5 called DOUBLE DELIGHT was superb,very charming nicely decorated.Bathroom was very big size with two claw tubs was a treat. Innkeeper was very kind and accommodating.Breakfast was so good.We had a great time and we enjoyed our stay at this inn very much and definitely will be back.
Loved the place, even though we only stayed the night. Michael greeted us at the entrance and was very personable as he figured out logistics, and offered us a room we requested and even offered to make us breakfast even though we were leaving very early next day. Breakfast was scrumptious. Love the place, even though there's some wear and tear but Michael makes it all a charming experience. 10/10 would stay again.
Look ONLY at the most recent reviews. They reflect the recent change in ownership AND Michael the caretaker/chef love of this old Victorian lady. The double claw foot bathtubs room was great. Michael not only runs the place but is also part of the overall experience.
Please disregard older reviews, the Inn in under new ownership and is in the process of being renovated. It still needs a good deal of work, but any peeling paint is more than made up for by the management/owners. From the moment I walked in, it was like visiting old friends you didn't know you had. They are so friendly and go out of their way to give you a great experience -- so great, in fact, that I opted for a second night even though I live less than an hour and a half away. The rooms are quiet (well, except for those pesky roosters next door!), clean and the bed was comfortable. It's close to town, but feels more rural, and it was so nice to sit in the shade and read while the breeze kept me cool. Highly recommended, I'll be back! Linda
We stayed in room 8 "Cherub Face". It was a very nice room which sleeps 3 comfortably. The young lady who greeted us "Sean", was very nice and made us feel welcome right away. The only issue we had was no hot water. As soon as I told them it was taken care of right away and we had plenty of hot water. It was a very comfortable stay. We will visit again Thank you Sean & Family for a wonderful stay!
This place has a quaint character and I really like it. Staff is very easy to do business with. Only thing I would change is to make sure staff is present or available all of the time.
